The eTAG 320G comes standard with thirty-two (32) SFP+ ports which can be configured as 10G or 1G.  The ports can be used to connect to SPAN (Mirror) ports or TAPs as well as 10G or 1G monitoring tools for security (e.g. IDS), performance (e.g. netflow  or sflow analysis) and trouble-shooting (e.g. protocol analyzer or data recorder).

Once connected, the eTAG 320G provides distribution of traffic from any network port to many monitor tools or aggregation of many network ports to any monitoring tool. The eTAG 320G’s load balancing feature dynamically manages load distribution, session cohesion and replication for optimizing IDS clusters and other monitoring tools simultaneously. Customers manage the configuration as well as view statistics and reports from anywhere using a web interface on a laptop or smart phone. The eTAG 320G can be configured on-the-fly to quickly replicate or shunt traffic to the appropriate network tool.

Using a hash-based algorithm to dynamically load balance sessions to monitoring tools, the eTAG 320G provides the most cost-effective way of maximizing your existing network investment by providing your tools with precisely the required application or network traffic.
